![]() Suffice to say, I am thrilled that there are still enough new people starting blogs to create a list like this. Our niche is very much tucked away and our industry largely seems to think of blogs as a "necessary evil" as opposed to partners in bringing their collections to new audiences and helping to tell their stories. We don't have the reach, the pull, the magnetism, or the influence of beauty bloggers and fashion bloggers. Lingerie blogging is a bit of an odd duck. More than anything, as my own 10 year blogaversary looms, I'm happy that people are still willing to join the ranks of lingerie bloggers. I love that because lingerie is a very personal item and so it pairs well with a more personal story. Many of their blogs are also exercises in art and self-portraiture, as opposed to being solely news sources. As a result, these bloggers are pushing the medium into new places. Their lingerie blogs have come up in an era where Facebook and Instagram and brand collaborations and review samples and even the thought of lingerie blogging at all was always normal. ![]() This is a new class of lingerie bloggers, even if their blogs have been around for a couple of years. Because, honestly, who knows how things will turn out? Instead, I'd like to talk a little bit about the blogs I'm featuring this year. And as more and more social platforms move to an advertiser-prioritized model, I believe having a place where your fans can easily find you, sans algorithm, will become more necessary than ever before.īut that's enough of my thoughts on the future of the internet. More importantly, I believe there's still value in having a hub, a corner of the internet you can call your own, that can't be taken away due to an errant nipple or bit of a bottom cheek. However, I believe there's still a place for long-form content. Who needs words anymore? Or reviews? Or lookbooks?
